This Privacy Policy explains how Bneu Scanner ("we", "our", "the app") handles your information. Bneu Scanner is developed and published by Bneu. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information. Bneu Scanner operates primarily offline and does not require an account or registration.

The app processes the following data locally on your device only:

Camera images — used solely for real-time barcode/QR code scanning. Images are processed in memory and never stored or transmitted.
Scan history — stored locally in a database on your device. This data never leaves your phone.
Generated QR codes and barcodes — created and stored locally on your device.
App preferences and settings — stored locally on your device.

3. Camera Permission

Bneu Scanner requires camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes. The camera feed is processed in real-time on your device using Google ML Kit's on-device barcode scanning. No images or video are recorded, stored, uploaded, or shared.

4. Third-Party Services

Bneu Scanner uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob — We display advertisements to support the free version of the app. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing — Used to process in-app purchases (Pro upgrade). Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not collect or store payment information.
Google ML Kit — Barcode scanning is performed entirely on-device. No data is sent to Google servers for barcode processing.

5. Data Storage

All app data (scan history, favorites, settings, generated codes) is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the app, all local data is permanently deleted.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with anyone.

The only data shared with third parties is through Google AdMob for advertising purposes, as described above. No scan content, history, or generated codes are ever transmitted from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Bneu Scanner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require any personal information to function.

8. Data Security

Since all user data remains on your device, security is managed by your device's built-in protections (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

9. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

Delete scan history — Use the app's built-in delete function
Clear all data — Clear app data in your device settings, or uninstall the app
Opt out of personalized ads — Go to Settings > Google > Ads on your device

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
